Photographs of Lehigh's Sequoia Advantage

This machine currently resides in Dan Lopresti's lab at Lehigh University. It was purchased at a government surplus auction and arrived at Lehigh in February 2007. Lehigh undergraduates have begun to disassemble the machine, but we have not progressed beyond that point as of yet. Northampton County, Pennsylvania is one jurisdiction now using this type of machine.

PERFECT is an acronym that stands for "Paper and Electronic Records for Elections: Cultivating Trust." PERFECT is a multidisciplinary research effort aimed at studying the reliable processing of paper ballots and other hardcopy election records.
